Thanks for hanging out (virtually) in Irwin Weinberger’s studio for some pop music history and a look at pieces from Irwin’s current 3-D painting project, A History of Popular Music. Each expressively-painted cutout is a notable musician in the act of making the music which sets feet moving and hands clapping, Irwin captures not only the likeness of the performer but the energy and mood of their music.
